At BGE, we believe being a local business means more than providing great electrical service. That’s why we’re committed to giving back to the communities that support us.
Local business. Local people. Giving back locally.

Ongoing
For every service call we complete, BGE sets aside one dollar to give back to the community — local families, youth programs, charities and community initiatives. No add-on fee, no paperwork — it comes out of our side of the invoice. The counter below moves every time a job is booked.

What we support
Three areas that fit how we work and who we work for — chosen so the program feels genuine, not like advertising.
Jerseys, ice time, tournament fees and equipment for local hockey, soccer and ringette teams. Sport keeps kids in the community, and the cost of a season shouldn’t decide who plays.
Support for food banks, holiday drives and neighbours facing a hard stretch — including donated electrical work when a safety issue is beyond a family’s budget.
Tool bursaries and shop-visit days for students entering the electrical trade. The next generation of licensed electricians in Vaudreuil-Soulanges starts in a classroom nearby.
How it works
You don’t have to do anything extra. Booking the work is what funds it.
Any job, residential or commercial — from a light fixture to a full panel replacement.
We set aside part of every invoice for community giving in the areas we serve.
Each donation or sponsorship is shared on our Facebook and Instagram pages so you can see it.
Ben’s vision
BGE’s founder, Ben, has a long-term dream: to help build a children’s hospital that gives local families access to the care they need, close to home. It’s a big goal, and it’s not happening overnight — but every service call we take is a small step toward it. Giving back to the community that has supported BGE for years is what this dream is all about.
Local business. Local people. And a hospital built for our kids, one job at a time.
A portion of every service call goes into the community fund — the foundation Ben is building toward the hospital.
Along the way, BGE supports local families, youth programs and charities that keep the community strong.
Year by year, the fund grows — toward Ben’s goal of helping bring a children’s hospital to the families we serve.
Recent giving
Our first initiatives. This list grows with every season — follow along on social media for the latest.
West Island Mission helps more than 550 families in our community, and summer is one of the hardest times for donations. School meal programs stop, but the need keeps growing — real pressure on parents and kids. BGE is backing the food drive: if you can donate, do it today. They need canned protein, rice, dried lentils, cereal, juice, canned tomatoes and canned meals. Every donation helps a local family.
BGE handled all the electrical for the event free of charge — the behind-the-scenes work that has to happen before the gates can even open. We get a banner on site; we aren’t paid for the work. Ribfest supports WIAIH, Make-A-Wish / Rêves d’enfants Québec and On Rock Community Services.
